The Carmel Valley Forum is
a non-profit 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation organized to research,
analyze, and disseminate information which will enable citizens
of Carmel Valley to make informed decisions regarding
local issues and concerns.
To date, nearly 500 residents and
business owners up and down Carmel Valley have made donations
to an effort to obtain the answer to a debate which has been going
on for the past 40 years, namely ... is incorporation feasible?
Over 2500 people signed a petition wanting to find out the answer
to that question.
Additional funds are required to complete
the process. The County is providing no funds, and the Forum’s
task is to raise money to pay for the entire process associated
with evaluating the incorporation The Town of Carmel Valley. The
political reality is that those who live and work in, or care about
the future of Carmel Valley have to pay the costs of this process.
Without additional funds, the community and its residents will not
have the opportunity to evaluate, and debate, whether self-governance
is right for them. To that end, we ask for your generous tax-deductible
contribution to the Carmel Valley Forum.
The Forum represents a broad cross-section
of the Carmel Valley community with diverse opinions. It includes
local business people, representatives of homeowners associations,
and educators, as well as both developers and environmentalists.
The Forum itself does not and will
not take a position on incorporation but is simply committed
to moving the process forward so that the people of Carmel Valley
may choose the best course for themselves. There will public hearings
and ample opportunity to review information before the question
of incorporation is put to a vote.
Whether you are for, against, or just want
to know the facts about incorporation, we invite you to send your
tax deductible contributions to the Carmel
Valley Forum.
Thank you!
